Employee Resource Center

The IWD supports civilian employees by providing a structure to facilitate professional growth and development. This includes a variety of programs to help employees develop the skills and competencies needed to advance their

careers. The Employee Resource Center is designed to serve as one stop shopping option for professional development resources.  In order to understand how to use the Employee Resource Center it is important to be familiar with the different sources of training and information. Employees are encouraged to work their supervisors and their Community of Interest (COI) to determine where they need further development and to lay out a plan to reach their career goals.

Stay Ahead of Annual Mandatory Training

Don’t do what you did last fiscal year trying to finish the classic annual mandatory training marathon in the wee hours of the night just to be in compliance with statutory requirements.

Instead encourage yourself and your employees to complete all mandatory training ahead of September 30th.

In the latest Civilian Annual Mandatory Training MARDAMIN, MPC 30 shares a different approach to eat that training elephant one bite a time.

Here’s what they suggest…

Make it a Monthly Affair

Tie mandatory annual training with an associated awareness or prevention month.

  • Identified courses are recommended, but not required, to be completed in their associated months.
  • Commanders may direct additional training, as required.
  • Additional mandatory training requirements exist for supervisors and new employees.

Still Unsure of What All Needs to be Completed?

Rest assured, a comprehensive and authoritative list of all training may be found at https://www.manpower.usmc.mil/WFD.

Remember…training is recommended to be completed in the Total Workforce Management Services (TWMS), Navy eLearning, or by Command mandatory training stand-downs. Command delivered training or training taken through other sources must be documented in TWMS.
