If you possess the drive and desire to be considered for civilian professional development programs being solicited by IWD, you will need the latest Civilian Professional Development Baseball candidate form (CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD).   We are using a simplified quarterly process for approving special professional development programs – focused on better understanding potential. 

These cards will be reviewed and selections made by upcoming the ADCI-chaired Civilian Personnel Governance Board or Civilian Advisory Panel which includes representation from all Divisions and Commands.  If selected, the IWD team will notify you and guide you through the follow on process.

FREE Virtual Conferences for DoD Employees (from the Conference Board)

DoD employees are being afforded an opportunity to attend an array of FREE virtual conferences sponsored by The Conference Board.  The Conference Board, considered a Broadening Program, serves as a think tank that delivers trusted insights dealing with subjects impacting business and society. These insights deal with subjects associated with Human Capital, Marketing and Communications, Environmental, Social & Governance, just to name a few and are for all grade levels and ranks.

Description: Planning Inc. provides sound advice and guidance to navigate through the federal retirement and benefits system. This course will cover a variety of financial planning topics and strategies such as: Qualified Retirement Money (TSP, IRA’s, 401K, etc.); Retirement Benefit Analysis; Asset Allocation, Tax and Estate Tax Strategies; Disability, Health, and Life Insurance; Emergency Fund; Long Term Care; Medicare/Medicaid and Non-Qualified Investment Strategies.

Audience: HQMC Civilian Marine employees under the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) who are in the latter stages of their federal careers (with five or less years before retirement).

Civilian Employee Assistance Program


The DoN Civilian Employee Assistance Program provides help with issues relating to stress, family, relationships, finances, alcohol, or work.  This service is open to you and your families – providing licensed confidential support for those difficult issues that arise.  Check out the blue drop down menu on the right side titled Employee Assistance Program to see the latest on the program and key FY21 events!


Academic Degree Program:  If you are planning to request assistance from the Academic degree program (ADP) for 3QTR, FY 21 please visit the Employee Resource Center, click on the ADP drop down on the right for request form, requirements and point of contact.


LinkedIn Learning: Unlock learning experiences taught by real-world professionals. Bite-size or in-depth, how and when it works for you. To gain access you will have to use your own personal computer, Ipad, laptop, or smart phone, to gain access once you get your invite email. Microsoft 365: In addition to accomplishing your daily tasks while dispersed, consider learning about Microsoft Office 365 which will be rolling out across the Marine Corps soon.
