Administrative Furlough News

As you may know, our nation is currently faced with serious debt and deficit challenges that have led to a prolonged period of budgetary uncertainty, which has resulted in Sequestration. Sequestration is an across-the-board reduction in Federal budgetary resources in all budget accounts that have not been exempted by statute or by the President. Sequestration took effect on March 1, 2013; unfortunately, Sequestration has led to civilian employee furloughs across the Department of Defense. These furloughs are scheduled to begin no earlier than 8 July. The following websites contain vital information regarding furloughs:
