WASHINGTON - Retired Gunnery Sgt. Mario Monaco receives the Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher Distinguished Civilian Humanitarian Award for his work as chairman of the Lance Cpl. Chris Cosgrove III Marines Helping Marines program. In addition to the certificate and medal, Monaco's name will be engraved on a trophy permanently on display at the Pentagon.
