Major Jamie P. Murphy, the Wounded Warrior Regiment's future operations officer, is presented the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V" device by Lieutenant Col. J.D. Harrill during an awards ceremony at the regimental headquarters here. Murphy earned the Bronze Star for his heroic service in connection with combat operations against the enemy while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. Lieutenant Col. Harrill is the former commanding officer of 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 1, 2nd Marine Division (Forward), where Murphy earned this honor. - Major Jamie P. A group of Marines from a U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South, security cooperation team shuffles toward a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter, while rehearsing casualty evacuation procedures, during part of the team's certification exercise at Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Va., Jan. 6. The team recently completed advisor training at MCSCG.
