The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, in conjunction with the U.S. Naval Institute, announced the fourth annual Tom Bartlett Marine Corps Photo Contest, named in honor of the late distinguished photojournalist and former Managing Editor of LEATHERNECK magazine.

The contest is open to all photographers: military or non-military; amateur and professional.

Cash prizes are: $500 to the winner, $200 to two first honorable mentions, and $100 to three second honorable mentions. 
Winning entries will be published in the November 2001 issue of the U.S. Naval Institute ?PROCEEDINGS.?

All entries will be considered for publication at regular rates.  Deadline for all submissions is 16 July 2001.

Entry rules:

Each entry must have a Marine Corps-related subject. Entries are not limited to the contest year.

Entry limit is five per person

Black-and-white, color prints or color transparencies can be submitted. (No glass mounts)

Minimum print size is 5" by 7"

Full captions and the photographer's name, address, phone number, and
Social Security number (for possible payment) must be printed or typed on labels attached directly to be back of each print or slide mount.  Please do not use staples or write directly on prints.

Entries must not have been published previously, and winners may not have been published prior to appearing in PROCEEDINGS, or prizes may be revoked.

Entries must be postmarked by 16 July 2001.  Only those photos accompanied by self-addressed, stamped envelopes will be returned.
