CWO5 Harry Taylor is currently serving as Infantry Weapons Officer / Marine Gunner for Risk Management Directorate. He is a native of Baltimore, MD and graduated from Eastern Vo-Tech High School in 1990. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on Feb 15, 1990, and attended recruit training at Mike Company, 3rd Bn, MCRD Parris Island, SC. Upon completion of Marine Combat Training and the School of Infantry he was assigned the military occupational specialty 0341, Mortarman.
Gunner Taylor's operational assignments include MCSF Co NWS Earle (1991-1993), 3rd Bn, 6th Mar with the 24th MEU, Ops in Somalia, Haiti and the Adriatic Sea (1993-1994), 4th LAR, B Co (1999-2001), 3rd Bn, 5th Mar with the 31st MEU (2002), and Iraq for the initial invasion and follow on operations (2003), 2nd Bn, 9th Mar OIF Iraq (2008-09) OEF Afghanistan (2010-11), 2nd Bn, 2nd Mar UDP Okinawa (2016), 1st Bn, 2nd Mar Black Sea Rotation Force (2017), 3rd Reconnaissance Bn (2017-2019), 3d Marine Littoral Regiment (2022-2025).
Support assignments include serving as a Marine Security Guard Detachment Commander at Cairo, Egypt, Bujumbura, Burundi and Nassau, Bahamas (2004-2007), Operations Chief, Recruit Training Regiment, Parris Island SC (2011-2013), Training Chief, 3d Marine Division (2013-2015), OIC Marksmanship Training Unit, MCBH (2019-2022).
