Chief Personnel Specialist Nigel A. Ross was born in Georgetown, Guyana and migrated to the United States of America in 2002 at the age of 21. He enlisted in the

Navy out of East Orange, NJ in August 2004 and attended Seamanship Apprentice Training, graduating in November 2004. Chief Personnel Specialist Nigel A. Ross was born in Georgetown, Guyana and migrated to the United States of America in 2002 at the age of 21. He enlisted in the Navy out of East Orange, NJ in August 2004 and attended Seamanship Apprentice Training, graduating in November 2004. USS Trenton (LPD-14) was his 1st duty station, where he served as an undesignated Seaman for 18 months prior to pursuing the Personnel Specialist rating at Meridian, MS.

His tour attached to VFA-136 (Knighthawks), F-14 fighter jet Squad, is where he deployed twice onboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65). In 2008 PS3 Ross PCS transferred to PSD Little Creek, Va Beach performing the duties of a separation, reenlistment and extension clerk. He was assigned in 2010 to USS George H. W. Bush(CVN-77). He held roles as Command IA Coordinator, Activity Manning Clerk, earned his 3rd and 4th Sea Service Deployment Ribbons (SSDR) and advanced to Personnel Specialist Second Class. Additionally, he received his 2905/A01A NEC and co-initiated the command CSADD program.

NSOMI, Fort Bragg, NC was his next duty assignment. There he served over 300 special operation combat medics and staff instructors as the Admin LPO from November 2014 through October 2017. He advanced to PS1 from the September 2014 advancement cycle. On November 2014, PS1 Ross checked onboard USS Stockdale (DDG 106) as the Admin LPO at Sea. He earned his 5th Deployment Ribbon, SSOQ selection, 2 NAMs and his CPO selection. Today PSC Ross is the Senior Enlisted Advisor at Navy and Marine Appellate Leave Activity, Washington Navy Yard.
