Captain Andie Coutoulakis is a native of East Greenwich, RI. She attended the Naval Academy Preparatory school from 2012-2013 and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English from the United States Naval Academy in 2017, earning her commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
After completing The Basic School in Quantico, VA, Captain Coutoulakis attended the Basic Manpower Officer Course and earned the Military Occupational Specialty of Manpower Officer (0102) in April 2018.
Captain Coutoulakis completed a short 5-month tour with 2d Combat Engineer Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC before she was transferred to 2d Battalion, 6th Marines, where she served as the Adjutant from October 2018 through June 2020. During this time, she administratively supported the unit through multiple Battalion level exercises to include a 6-week cold-weather training evolution at the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA. Upon completion of their pre-deployment work-up, Captain Coutoulakis deployed to Setermoen, Norway in support of Marine Rotational Force-Europe 20.1. After re-deployment, Captain Coutoulakis received orders to 3d Marine Raider Battalion and served as the Adjutant from June 2020 through May 2022.
In May 2022, Captain Coutoulakis reported to the United States Naval Academy as part of its LEAD program and earned her Professional Master of Business Administration in Leadership, Education, and Development from the Naval Postgraduate School and then assumed the duties as the 18th Company Officer in June 2023, and then the 34th Company Officer in May 2024. She also served as the Navy Women’s Rugby Officer Representative.
In June 2025, Captain Coutoulakis reported to Navy and Marine Corps Appellate Leave Activity where she is currently serving as the Executive Officer.
Captain Coutoulakis has completed Legal Officer Course, Information Operations Planners Course (AMOS, 0510), and Survive, Escape, Resist, Evade (SERE) training. Captain Coutoulakis was awarded Manpower Officer of the Year for 2020 and her personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Gold Star and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star. In her free time, Captain Coutoulakis plays rugby for the DC Revolution. She currently resides in DC with her wife, Leah, and their two dogs, Harley and Brody.
