Chief Warrant Officer 5 Robert M. Hall


Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He attended recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina, graduating in December 1988. Following graduation from boot camp, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for training as a Legal Services Specialist at Camp Del Mar onboard Camp Pendleton, California.

Upon graduation in March 1989, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for duty with the Legal Services Support Section, 1st Force Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as a Review Clerk and Duty Driver.

In August 1990, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported to Marine Barracks Yokosuka, Japan, where he served as a watch stander and Corporal of the Guard. During this tour of duty, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall was also assigned duties with the Navy Legal Services Office, where he served as a Military Justice Clerk.

In January 1992, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall returned to the Legal Services Support Section, 1st Force Service Support Group, where he served as the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the Administrative Law Section and the Defense Section.

In June 1993, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported to the Legal Services Support Section, 3d Force Service Support Group, where he served as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Administrative Law Section and as the Legal Services Chief, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 3d Force Service Support Group.

In June 1996, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for training at Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon graduation, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall was assigned to Company C, 1st Recruit Training Battalion where he completed three cycles as a junior drill instructor and four cycles as a senior drill instructor.

In November 1998, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall again reported for duty at the Legal Services Support Section, 3d Force Service Support Group, where he served as Review Chief and Military Justice Chief.

In October 1999, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall was selected for appointment as a Warrant Officer in the Legal Administrative Military Occupational Specialty.

Upon completion of The Basic School in May 2000, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall attended the Warrant Officer Basic Course at the Judge Advocate General of the Army School in Charlottesville, Virginia.

In August 2000, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for duty as Legal Administrative Officer at the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, Marine Corps Base, Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan.

In August 2003, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for duty as the Legal Administrative Officer, Legal Services Support Section, 3d Marine Logistics Group.

In August 2007, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall reported for duty as the Legal Administrative Officer, Legal Services Support Section, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

In January 2009, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Hall deployed with the II Marine Expeditionary Force in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM where he served as the Chief Investigations Officer and Legal Administrative Officer for Multi National Force – West, Al Anbar Province until his return to Camp Lejeune in December 2009.

In March 2010, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall was selected to sit as the Legal Administrative Officer to the Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal third award, Navy Commendation Medal fourth award, Navy Achievement Medal third award, and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Hall is married to the former Megumi Kaneguchi of Tokorozawa, Japan, and they have two children, Cynthia and Nicholas.
