Career Counselors are Special Staff Officers, assigned to battalion headquarters, responsible to the Commanding Officer for managing career development and retention for all enlisted Marines. Career Counselors lead, mentor, and advise Marines through records review and counseling to improve performance and competitiveness, accomplish career goals, and meet eligibility requirements for career opportunities.
