Supporting Establishment Law Enforcement Program (SELE)

Conditions of Employment

Marine Corps Civilian Police Officers must be physically fit at all times to ensure they are able to protect the community members they serve and meet the physical demands of the job. For employment, you must be able to meet and maintain these standards and requirements:

  • Background investigation (OPM interim investigation and Police Applicant Suitability Review) 
  • Body Mass Index
  • Drug Test
  • Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-II)
  • Physical Agility Test
  • Physical Health Examination
  • Graduate from the Marine Corps Police Academy Basic Police Course
  • Prerequisite:
    • Non-military - minimum 1 year of law enforcement or security experience or educational equivalent
    • Service Members or Veterans are qualified based on honorable discharge
