Various MEU elements worked in conjunction with the BLT's Company G. during a helicopter-borne assault on a notional enemy-held town during the MEU's certification exercise while deployed throughout the Asia-Pacific region on the yearly-scheduled Fall Patrol. The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps' force in readiness for the Asia-Pacific region.
