Alpha Company Commander Bio:

Major Scott graduated from The Citadel in 2000 and enlisted in the Marine Corps in early 2005. Upon completion of entry-level training, he was assigned to Third Radio Battalion in Kaneohe Bay, HI and served as a Special Communications Signals Collection Analyst. While in Hawaii, he deployed in 2006 on the battalion’s detachment to the 31st MEU in Okinawa, in 2007 in support of the Joint Special Operation Task Force (JSOTF-P) in the Southern Philippines, and in late 2008 with the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. While in theater, in mid-2009, he was selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program, where upon he redeployed in order to attend Officer Candidates School and receive his commission.

Upon completing entry-level officer training, he reported for duty in 2012 back at Third Radio Battalion where he served as the platoon commander for Bravo Company’s SIGINT Support Platoon. In 2013, he was assigned to Detachment-14 as the Officer-In-Charge where he deployed to the southern Philippines, again in support of JSOTF-P.

In 2015, he reported to the Marine Corps Detachment at Dam Neck to serve as the Director of the Signals Intelligence Officer’s Course. While stationed in Virginia Beach, he attended the MAGTF Intelligence Officer Course, the Naval Collection Managers Course, and Expeditionary Warfare School through the Blended Seminar Program.

In 2018, he executed orders to Okinawa, Japan where he was assigned to the headquarters element of III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group (MIG). There, he attended the Psychological Operations Qualification Course at the JFK Special Warfare Course and School in Fort Bragg, NC, where upon completion, he led the Inform and Influence Cell. While at III MIG, he was promoted to the rank of Major, stood up the Psychological Operations Company, and deployed in support of Special Operations Command Pacific’s Joint Task Force Indo-Pacific where he planned for and coordinated influence operations for the Information Warfare Task Force throughout the area of responsibility.

In July 2021, he reported to Henderson Hall and is currently serving as the Company Commander for Headquarters Company and Alpha Company.
