Colonel Andy Regan hails from Katonah, New York and graduated from the University of Rochester in 1991 with a B.A. in Economics. He was commissioned through the NROTC program and upon completion of The Basic School assigned the MOS of Combat Engineer.
Colonel Regan has served operationally in I, II, and III Marine Expeditionary Forces (MEF) amongst all elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force. He commanded at the Platoon and Company level with 3d and 1st Marine Division, respectively, served as a Battalion Executive Officer within 1st Marine Logistics Group, and was the Commanding Officer Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 while assigned to the 2d Marine Air Wing.
Assignments outside of the operating forces include Deputy Site Commander, Marine Wing Support Squadron 474 in Philadelphia, PA and Marine Officer Instructor, University of South Carolina.
Staff assignments include service as the Assistant I MEF Engineer, during which he deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Force Engineer, Marine Forces Pacific. Most recently Colonel Regan completed a Joint assignment with the United States Transportation Command at Scott AFB, IL during which he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Colonel Regan is a graduate of the Army Advanced Engineer Officer Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF). He holds a MBA from the University of South Carolina and a M.S. in National Resource Strategy from ICAF.
